Everything in creation has its unique song.

Not just birds and beasts and human, but plants and ‘inanimate’ things: a ladybird’s wing, a tall tree, a pebble, a drain, even a kitchen chair or a spanner -  has a distinctive repertoire of sounds which are its ‘voice’ signature in the world.

Song of the season is my tribute to the song of the earth’s biosphere as it follows its orbit around the sun.

Starting in April 2020, every three months or so I will feature and release one of my own songs in honour of the new season. I invite you to tune into the seasonal theme, listen in to the song and – if you are moved to - download the song for a small fee and/or gift it to friends.

Every purchase you make will help to keep Waytu alive through these extraordinary times and - it is hoped - bring you and your family and friends a few moments of joy.

Songlines from Magic Woman

Every path makes its mark upon a landscape, whether inner or outer. ‘I’ am not a thing or a being, but a journey of dreaming and awareness, traversing the territories of the earth and of the heart and mind all at once. The song that comes through me is my signature upon the terrain. ‘I sing, therefore I am’. Enjoy!

When I first read Bruce Chatwin’s book Songlines I was blown away by the idea that the songs of indigenous peoples of Australia were ancient shared memory devices which literally wove the land into their individual and clan movements, minds and bodies. This song was my tribute to an awe inspiring and humbling realisation about how ‘progress’ had wiped out wondrous and sophisticated languages, learnings and ways of life. Enjoy!

Please pay respect to the Aborigines and other indigenous people who are the elders of humanity, and whose wisdom can help to save us all from the disaster of unsustainability:
